　　Partricia Lynn Yearwood来自Georgia的Monticello，从1985年起一直住在Nashville。当她在1990年试音时，遇到了和她同样是试音歌手的Garth Brooks和Kathy Mattea，在他们各自的专辑《无遮无碍》（No Fence）和《时光流逝》（Time Passes By）中出任背景和声。她初次以自己的名义登台亮相是1991年个人首支单曲“她和那个男孩相爱”（She’ In Love With The Boy）的推出，并从此便轰动至今。
