专辑简介:
Bruckner: Symphony No. 7
Saito Kinen Orchestra
Seiji Ozawa (conductor)
Definitely five star sound quality, with a breath and depth that really transends Bruckner and makes one hear that miraculous symphony as if for the first time. Only the best Telarc, Pentatone and Polyhymnia (Philips or otherwise) recordings are as good and only the ones that are original DSD recordings.
The performance is extremely qood and one can really see this great conductor lean over and shape each musical phrase with affection and complete undestanding. We may not have the spiritual awe that Karajan and Jochum brought to this work but Ozawa compensates with rock steady rythmic pulse and superlative orchestral playing
